The Revised Code of Washington (RCW’s) requires cities to develop a perpetual 6-year transportation improvement plan (TIP) that focuses on plans for street projects within the next six years. The TIP needs to be consistent with the City’s adopted Comprehensive Plan.
The City of Monroe updates the TIP every year in June. The process includes discussing the proposed TIP with city council, holding a public hearing on the matter, and eventually adopting the TIP by resolution.
