MONROE – May 22, 2014 at 6:51 am: Monroe Police Officers were dispatched to a trespass call after a neighbor saw a male and female enter an abandoned home in the 16500 block of 150th Street SE in Monroe. The neighbor further reported that he had seen a red motorcycle in the driveway that was no longer there and he thought they may have taken it into the garage.
Officers on scene saw a male attempt to flee through the house and out the back door. Upon learning the officer had a K-9 tracking dog, the suspects gave up and officers took both into custody. Monroe Fire was called to the scene for the female who had a cut on her hand; she was transported to Valley General Hospital for treatment. A search warrant was obtained for the residence. The red motorcycle that was found in the garage was checked and found to be stolen from a South Snohomish County burglary on May 17th. Also recovered was a stolen handgun, 20 grams of heroin and some cash.
Jeffrey E. Etherington age 33 of Everett and Tara R. Cervin age 26 of Marysville were arrested for Burglary and Possession of a Stolen Vehicle and taken to the Snohomish County Jail for booking.
