Governor Inslee hereby directs that Washington State and United States flags at all state agency facilities be lowered to half-staff as per President Obama’s proclamation on Friday, December 6, 2013, in memory of Nelson Mandela, who passed away on December 5, 2013.
Please notify all of your field offices and facilities around the state.
Flags should remain at half-staff until close of business Monday, December 9, or first thing Tuesday morning, December 10.
Other government entities, citizens and businesses are encouraged to join this recognition.
