Please join Mayor Thomas, the City of Monroe Councilmembers, and your neighbors at Lake Tye Park Saturday, September 20 at 6 p.m. for the Monroe Unity Gathering.
Monroe’s vision is to be a community that is a safe place for all, where everyone feels at home and everyone feels they belong. This is who we aspire to be, and at the same time - this how our community has said we are. Let’s come together with open hearts, kindness, humility, and compassion as we reflect on what matters most — the people of Monroe.
We will ask that each of us leave the event with humility, kindness, a willingness to listen to one another, a commitment to seek common ground when things seem to be tearing us apart part. We ask that here in Monroe, we serve as a positive model for unity.
