Due to the forecasted thunderstorms, the Monroe cold weather shelter will OPEN this evening Wednesday, March 26th.
Multiple cold weather shelters will open this evening. Cold Weather Shelters | Snohomish County Public Safety Hub (arcgis.com) will be updated throughout the day to show which cold weather shelters are open this evening.
The East County Cold Weather Shelters will open tonight at 8 p.m.:
--Monroe United Methodist Church/United in Grace, 342 S. Lewis Street. Free bus passes for one-way transportation to the shelter will be distributed at the Gold Bar Community Transit Park & Ride, 429 Croft Ave W, at 6:30 p.m., and at Sultan Library, 319 Main Street, Suite 100, at 6:45 p.m.
--Snohomish Evangelical Free Church, 210 Avenue B
Guests must complete intake (available 8-9:30 p.m.) No entry is allowed after 10 p.m. Check out is at 8 a.m. as shelters will close at that time. (Sorry, no exceptions). Light meals provided.
