[ARCHIVED] Windstorm damage online survey

StormSurveyGraphicNF

FROM SNOHOMISH DEPARTMENT OF EMERGENCY MANAGEMENT

WINDSTORM DAMAGE SURVEY AVAILABLE ONLINE THROUGH DEC. 31

Snohomish County Emergency Management has been working to help the community recover from the November windstorm. County Executive Dave Somers on Nov. 26 proclaimed an emergency. On Monday, Dec. 2, we went live with an online survey to gather damage information from residents and businesses. While we plan to keep the survey active through Dec. 31, the state has informed us that they plan to make their assessment regarding access to individual assistance based on data available through Sunday, Dec. 8.

We know many Snohomish County residents sustained damage to their homes and businesses. It’s important that they report that information now at: https://bit.ly/Report_SnoCo_Damage.

The information gathered so far underscores that this was a particularly devastating windstorm. Working with our partners, we’ve already documented more than $18.4 million in windstorm damage and response costs among Snohomish County public agencies. The Snohomish County PUD took the biggest hit by far, with about three-fourths of the reported estimated damages.

While it is always difficult to get federal disaster assistance, we want to do what we can to help people report losses. We will be joining partners and volunteers to support in-person assistance on the damage survey at these times and locations:

1 p.m. to 8 p.m., Friday, Dec. 6, 2024

Snohomish Regional Fire & Rescue, Station 81

12409 21st St. NE, Lake Stevens

1 p.m. to 8 p.m., Friday, Dec. 6, 2024

Lake Roesiger Fire Department

1205 S Lake Roesiger Road, Snohomish

1 p.m. to 8 p.m., Friday, Dec. 6, 2024

Evergreen State Fair Park near Park and Ride

17433 U.S. 2, Monroe
