INCIDENT UPDATE: Bomb Threat Hoax
A 44-year-old man from Moses Lake, WA, was taken into custody by Monroe Police yesterday on charges of threats to bomb or injure property. Through our investigation and with the support of the Regional Bomb Squad and Snohomish County Sheriff’s Office, we were able to establish that no explosives were present, and the situation was a hoax. This incident drew a significant amount of law enforcement support to the area of 19600 US 2. Out of precaution, roads were briefly shut down in the area by police, as well as a portion of a nearby shopping plaza.
