Tour DaVita
https://www.tourdavita.org/ is a 5-day bicycle event that moves from state to state each year as a way to increase awareness around kidney disease. This year Tour DaVita is coming to Washington state and will be hosted in Skykomish River Park here in Monroe from October 7-9, and at Skagit River Park in Burlington October 9-11.
The participants are employees and affiliates of DaVita Inc. who are riding their bicycles 60-100 miles a day to educate and raise money through pledges they solicit pre-event.
They are expecting nearly 600 bicycle riders and support staff to participate. They will set up and stay overnight at Sky River Park in reserved field, parking lots and covered shelter areas.
The park pathways, restrooms, Wiggly Field, playground area and Rotary Field parking lot area will remain open during this charity event.
For those wanting to use Wiggly Field please park at Rotary Field and walk your dog to the
off-leash park.
