With more than 32 acres, Sky River Park is one of two community parks in Monroe.  It includes an athletic field complex with four natural grass baseball fields, three soccer fields, as well as a restroom and concession building.  It also includes 2 large picnic shelters than can be reserved for parties, a large children’s play area, outdoor picnic areas and ample parking.  A one mile long perimeter-loop pathway rounds out the facility.

Adjacent and to the west of the park is the Monroe Rotary Field, and at the south end of the park is Wiggly Field dog park.  The north end of the park is home to the Monroe Boys & Girls Club, the Sky Valley Food Bank and the East County Senior Center.  Each of these facilities are owned and leased by the City to each of the non-profit organizations.  The Julia V. Morris Community Garden stands at the entry to the park at Village Way and provides hundreds of tons of fresh vegetables grown by volunteers for distribution by the food bank.
